In the midst of the ".com bust," I gained the opportunity to work at this division of Apollo Group while it was experiencing explosive growth. Applying tenets of agile development, I took on the responsibility to architect, develop and maintain several highly available and scalable enterprise web applications, including eCampus (student portal), Doctoral Mentoring Web, and Apply Web. I hired and mentored several junior developers and was eventually responsible for the interviewing and hiring of all .Net engineers for this division. -

I took the opportunity to lead this company into the Internet age by founding their IT department. I hired a staff of operators, systems engineers, DBAs, and software engineers to create a series of internal desktop and customer-facing Web applications, including Gladson Online®, an online data delivery system for the Gladson Universal Database®. These efforts culminated in Gladson becoming the worldwide leader in the collection and distribution of retail product data and images for use in retail space planning.
